FAQ

Billing, security, and ownership.

How is beta access handled?
Arbor is currently working with a limited group of invited plaintiff-side PI firms. Live authority coverage begins in Tennessee, with more states on the roadmap. During onboarding, we walk through attorney users, expected case volume, support needs, and security review needs, then confirm access details in writing before your firm uploads case data.
What does the active case workflow cover?
The full workflow on that matter: pasted-notes intake, tort identification with statutory cites, the SOL countdown, case strength scoring, medical-chronology and treatment-gap review, and a drafted demand letter with verified citations.
What does attorney workspace access include?
Each attorney workspace includes authenticated sign-in, the live case dashboard, the per-attorney audit log, and direct support. Staff workflows can be discussed during beta onboarding so the access model matches how your firm actually works.
Do paralegals or staff need their own seat?
Paralegals and other firm staff are included so the people who help prepare, review, and organize the file can work inside the same firm workspace. Arbor is designed around the way a PI office actually moves work from records to attorney review.
Where is my case data stored, and who can access it?
Your case data lives in a firm-scoped store on US infrastructure, isolated to your firm by database row-level security and reachable only through authenticated sign-in. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. Because Arbor is still in beta, firms handling live medical records should complete a brief security review with us first.
Who owns the work product Arbor generates?
Your firm. Demand drafts, summaries, timelines, and other outputs are your firm's work product, and they stay owned and exportable by your firm.
Is Arbor SOC 2 compliant? HIPAA?
Still in progress. Arbor makes no SOC 2 or HIPAA compliance claim today. We run authenticated, firm-scoped, encrypted infrastructure with an append-only audit trail. HIPAA readiness remains report-only while BAAs and full PHI controls move toward completion.
Do you train models on my case data?
Arbor uses model-provider settings that keep your case content out of provider training, and your work product stays out of model training as well.
How is Arbor different from generic legal AI or horizontal legal-tech tools?
Generic legal AI gives you a smarter search box or a chat reply and leaves the work to you. Horizontal legal-tech platforms are priced for enterprise procurement. Arbor is vertical, built for plaintiff-side PI, with a structured workflow from records to demand letter and every citation checked against jurisdiction-deep source text. Live authority coverage begins in Tennessee and expands state by state. You get the work product, ready for attorney review.
Can I cancel? What happens to my data?
Beta access is month-to-month unless your written onboarding terms say otherwise. Your work product remains exportable by your firm.
Do you offer nonprofit, clinic, or flexible terms?
Yes. Arbor works for plaintiff-side PI practices of every size, and beta onboarding can account for legal aid, clinic, early-practice, and other firm constraints. Email patrick@arborcase.com to talk through fit.
